Elevate your level of comfort with commonly asked questions and transparent answers.
Take a moment to sift through commonly asked questions about massage therapy. At Elemental Therapeutics, our core goal is to help others, and that mission begins before you even book your first massage. It is vital that you are comfortable, so learn more about what others are asking and how massage therapy can benefit you.
To book a massage, please give me a call or text me at (719) 354-9555! I will ask you what you are looking for and if you’d like a 60, 90, or 120 minute massage. After learning about your availability, I will provide you my next open appointment times for you to select!
My massage studio is located in central Colorado Springs off of Academy Blvd. I am located in Suite #101. You will find plenty of parking on the west side of the building, and I will be at the front desk to greet you when you arrive!
It is my goal to make you feel as comfortable as possible, both mentally and physically. During our initial session, we will openly discuss any areas of concern as well as your physical goals and I will have you fill out a health history form to ensure all needs are met. Before we start our session, you will be able to control the environment in regards to optional aromatherapy, music, and temperature. The session itself features treatment designed to your custom needs and preferences.
No, I usually do not have walk-in appointments available, but you are more than welcome to call or text me at (719) 354-9555 if you are looking to book a massage! I will be able to provide you with my soonest available time!
In order to ensure your session is impactful, it is vital that you are comfortable. While some clients prefer being completely nude, it is also a common preference to keep undergarments on. With that note, please undress to a point you find comfortable. As your massage therapist, it is my duty to ensure all areas of the body that are not actively receiving bodywork are modestly covered with coverings provided by the studio. Before the session begins, you will have the chance to privately get undressed to your preference and cover yourself on the table.
At Elemental Therapeutics, we sincerely appreciate any amount of gratuity; however, it is never expected.
Frequency of sessions varies for all clients depending on physical goals, limitations, and preferences. As general practice, I recommend scheduling one to two sessions per month as it can greatly benefit your overall health and wellness. Throughout each session, we will discuss goals and ensure future sessions are designed to help you reach your wellness goals.
We are unable to accept health insurance for massage therapy treatments as it is typically not covered by most carriers.
While all massage therapy sessions are designed to fit your physiological needs, I am proudly trained in the following: Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Myofascial Release, NMF, MET’s, Reiki III, Healing Touch and Integrated Reflexology. Please refer to our services page to learn more about each individual service and how it may benefit your needs.
I always want my clients to be comfortable in any given situation. If you need to use the restroom or have any other concerns throughout your session, please don’t hesitate to express them to me so I may assist accordingly.
Absolutely. One of the primary goals of massage therapy is to induce relaxation. If your body reaches a point where sleep will help propel feelings of rejuvenation, then I want you to listen to your body’s needs. Please feel comfortable doing what is best for your system.
In the same manner as any physical activity, massage therapy works out your muscles and tissues. Your muscular system is reaping the benefits and working on repairing itself due to the techniques experienced during massage. At the conclusion of your session, I will always encourage extra hydration after each session and continue to be in-tune with your body. If you are noticing abnormal pain levels, please do not hesitate to contact me.
According to the AMTA, a licensed massage therapist must go through a required process by which an agency of government regulates a profession. This gives permission to an individual to legally practice massage in their chosen professional state. Conversely, a certified massage therapist undergoes a voluntary process of publicly attesting that a specified quality or standard has been achieved or exceeded. This is regulated by a non-governmental agency. The state of Colorado requires a license rather than a certification.
AMTA is the most respected name in the field of massage therapy. The AMTA requires members to meet minimum education requirements, continue pursuing education, and honor the Code of Ethics. Being a member in a credible professional association suggests a massage therapist is professional and accountable.
Take a peek inside our massage studio to learn more about what to expect during your session. At the beginning of each massage appointment, we will connect about your concerns and muscular goals.
